About Me

My name is Joshua Moore. I am a sixteen year old aspiring graphic designer. I have always been a creative person, ever since I was very young and I used to excel at art and other creative subjects. However, as I got older I started to lose my creative side and I stopped being the kind of person that would sit down, take out my colours and my pencil and draw something. Fortunately in the past couple of years I have started to become more in touch with my creative side which led me to create my YouTube channel.

When I started my YouTube channel the first thing I wanted to get into was video editing and getting involved with the gaming community of YouTube. I created montages and various other videos related to making gameplay look ‘pretty’. However, I soon became bored of this and felt that my skills were not developing and so I started to research and become involved in graphic design. I watched tutorials on YouTube so that I could learn more about the programs needed in order to produce quality graphics.

I quickly changed my content to speed arts and tutorials on graphic design. I could see for myself and through feedback from family and friends that I was improving quickly, so I stuck with it. At the stage that I am at right now, I have been doing design work for just over a year and in the process have been uploading graphic design videos to my YouTube channel. Through my YouTube videos I have managed to gain over 3,000 subscribers and almost 60,000 video views and my audience grows quickly when I find the time to make videos.

I am currently doing GCSEs at school and so struggle for time to upload videos and create graphics work due to revision but when I finish my exams I plan to get right back in the swing of things and hope to improve my skills even more and produce some outstanding work. I will also go on to study A-Levels at Sixth Form if I manage to get the necessary grades from my GCSEs. From then on I’m not really sure what will happen as I am no psychic. However, if I decide that I still want to go on to become a professional graphic designer I will most likely go to university to study it or go straight into freelance work.

I hope this has given you some more insight into my life and how I came to be doing what I do.

Thanks for reading!

-Joshua Moore
